Same issue, called HMRC and the advisor said that several accountants have reported the issue this morning but it is too new to advise on or give timescales of when it will be fixed. Advice is to escalate it to hmrc by sending a screenshot to the helpdesk.

Can't wait for Self Assessment MTD!

There's a workaround if you use the following method when you reach that page.

In the URL change it to: https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/self-assessment/ind/[YOUR CLIENTS UTR]/account/taxyear/2021

You can then go to other years from there and check other info. It's just the current position section which is down.

From the System error page, the links on the right of the page are still working other than "View Account". For instance "Tax return options" to be able to access "Information to help complete your tax return" and "View PAYE coding notices".

Yes thats true but you will be unable to view individual years' breakdowns, repayments or penalties unless you amend the URL.

I daresay that would be the section that people use the most?

Easy on the trigger finger, soldier ... step away slowly from the 'Post reply' button and take a little of whatever brings you a sense of peace!

I realised the issue, but there's no way to delete a reply... Couldnt be bothered editing each comment.

It wasn't really a dig at you ... just too good a 'target' to miss!

[It presumes that these repetitious postings are the result of impatience (hitting the button again and again when nothing seems to happen - which is what I've been told previously). So I envisaged the equivalent of those people who keep punching the 'call' button for a lift as if that would speed up its arrival. If that wasn't what happened, then double apologies].

I am having the same problem. The HMRC are making lots of changes according to the notice for Agents that I received today from the HMRC. I am in no doubt that we will have a lot more to come between now and Apr 2023. So many changes and the HMRC are going to have a lot of downtime or should I say more inconvenience for Agents.
