HMRC emails about tax codes

HMRC emails about tax codes

Does anyone else regularly get emails from HMRC telling you that clients have been issued with P9 tax code notices, but you log onto HMRC and find no new notices? Which is incorrect, the emails, or HMRC's online agent portal??

Me too

I've had 4 notification emails over the last 24 hours, but likewise I can't see the P9's online.

Anyone shed any light?

Are HMRC cutting agents out again and just teasing us to say they are new coding notices that we can't see?

Now arrived.

I had the email yesterday, and then Sage Payroll found the notices today.

(there was an earlier thread on Aweb that said similar)

First thing is they always come through in duplicate. Normally at about 4.00am. Yesterday's came in the day. I have noticed there is always a long time lapse between receiving the notifications and them appearing on the account.

Thanks all. So basically one has to check constantly to see if any have turned up, as you can only search for all clients at once for notices in the last 7 days... I don't know why I bother, more often than not I know the tax codes they send are wrong anyway!

2016/2017

I sufferred from the same thing, but then checked notices for the year 2016/2017 rather than Current Year and abracadabra, there they were!!
