HMRC failing to capture 2016-17 FBI returns

I've had two repayment cases submitted through FBI which HMRC have not captured. When I log into HMRC online I can see both returns have been received but the SOA is still at £0.00. Both are repayment cases and I'd been been expecting refunds which is why I checked them. There could be payment cases not captured too. I phoned the ADL and one person I spoke to said he's come across several of these cases. I wonder how widespreadh this problem is. Have an AW members also experienced this problem for 2016-17?

Yup. I have one like that.

Repayment was as a result of a MAT transfer done in the spouses return not online. I know that that has been captured by HMRC recently and I was hanging fire to see if it was just the HMRC system catching up.

Hi Paul, I've had plenty where HMRC have failed to capture to MAT - but in those cases HMRC had captured the remainder of the return. It's the cases where HMRC failed to capture anything and the SOA is still £0.00 that I'm concerned about. In your case was the remainder of the return captured?

No, or certainly not yet.

I just wondered whether the MAT was causing it to be held until the other side was processed, which it did very recently. Looking just now it is still showing as received, but nothing processed.

Paul, I think you might be onto something here. Both my cases are MA recipients too. I have other MA recipients that have been captured promptly but it can't be a coincidence that my two cases and your case are all MA cases.

Kevin, were the ones that processed done as an online claim or phone call by the 'donor' as opposed to just being included in the 'donors' SATR?

I wonder whether I am going to have to get my 'donor' to make a call?

Still not processed onto the system today while the other side giving up the allowance was processed on 17/11

Paul, both of my un-captured returns have been purely SA claims for MA. But I've got plenty of other purely SA claims for MA which have been captured timely.
Both my un-captured cases required me to phone the ADL to get them to do a referral to get them captured. I don't know if they would have ever been captured if I had not phoned.
