HMRC rant -SEIS Authorisation from client

Why do HMRC need SEIS authorisation to be within 2 months?

Didn't find your answer?

We had Authorisation from the client when we set up the SEIS about 4 months ago and sent it to HMRC. We have now submitted some new forms to them and they are asking for another Authorisation as the other one was more than 2 months old.

Anyone know if this is a legal requirement or just HMRC making it up to annoy me.

Confused.

What authorisation did you send in. 64-8 or online authorisation?

What forms are you sending?

What has SEISS got to do with it? As far as i know agents can't submit SEISS claims on behalf of clients.

I suspect it's seen enterprise investment, and not SEISS.
