'HMRC' scammers using SA deadline to defraud

Has anyone experienced this?

Didn't find your answer?

The ICAEW has warned of scammers posing as HMRC using the SA deadline to try to defraud people, after reports of members' clients receiving scam emails asking for bank details.

HMRC have advised throughly checking that any emails people might recieve from them are genuine.

Has anyone had any clients who've experienced this recently?

Happens every year. Always worth alerting clients regardless, but this is not a new pheonomenon.
