Received a CT assessment today... for a partnership... that doesn't exist!
In one letter HMRC have applied the wrong tax to make belief people and guessed what the value should be!!
I will of course be pointing out the error of their ways to them, but you couldn't make this up!
(And no, this isn't an April fool, but I did wonder!)

Usually ....
... when this sort of thing happens, it is the result of well-meaning but ill-informed taxpayers filling in the registration without consulting their accountants and pushing in the wrong form.
