How much are you charging for auto enrolment?

Curious to know how much others are charging to help clients fulfil their auto enrolment duties

Didn't find your answer?

I have always done this free of charge but issues with both NEST and People's Pensions have been taking so much of my time that I am thinking about charging for it going forward, any ideas of how much to charge?

Thank you in advance

I don't charge. It only takes a few extra minutes particularly if the software used sorts it all out.

We have always charged £25 a month for this. There are also set up fees if applicable.

We won't take on PP clients cos we had so many issues with it.

I charge a one-off £150 for setting up a NEST scheme and completing the Declaration of Compliance.
Our monthly payroll fee includes a small amount to cover pension processing.

Wow. £150 for filling out a few entries on a web page!

Its something the client can easily do themselves for free. For those that don't want to it sounds quite reasonable. But don't forget to charge again for re-enrolment and the related DoC!

Actually, PP client is what prompted me to ask the question. They rejected a couple of filings and it has taken hours to speak to someone and try to get the issue resolved..

Yes, PP are a nightmare and it’s even worse when combined with the rubbish Xero payroll system as nothing seems to upload correctly the first time.
How can you build software so badly that a user can’t even change their own details; you have to email them with the changes to get them actioned!

I don't charge specific amounts for this, but I factor in an assumption to my payroll quotes that NEST is going to cause trouble every year, as it is abominably difficult to correct errors with them.

We charge £1 per person per payroll period.

If you are having issues with uploading/administering schemes I'd highly recommend you look at Pensionsync.
