How to find telecommute job in finance within UK?

How to find telecommute job in finance within UK?

Didn't find your answer?

Dear colleagues,

I'm looking for a remote job to work from home in Ukraine for British Employer in UK. And I have Natwest(RBS) bank account to get paid, with on-line banking access. Is this possible?  Looking forward to your feedback and having conversation with you.
Can you advise me please some good free job-board with telejobs job-adverts? Because there are several on the market but they require me to pay subscription in order to get an access to employers. I don't believe this, this seem to be fraud/scam.
I'm running own company in exproration of oil and gas, developing full 2D/3D seismic data processing and interpertation software. But do have a bit of free time. So, why not to earn some little additional money, I guess? Before worked as Head of Finance and Risk at top-bank in Ukraine, and Country business controller to world leading animal feed producer, cluster in Ukraine. Specialized on: planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, strategic management, credit risk, internal control and compliance, treasury operatiopns. Fluent in English,Polish and Russian, Intermediate in German. So I suppose I can handle some sort of easy office work on a distance (I mean remotely form home). Hope you know what I mean.

As far as I know... many huge international companies do outsource their back-office, accounting, finance, recruitment and HR activities. Such as payroll, credit control, accounts payables/receivables control and so on. I can handle it as well. Just need short time to get familiar with local UK software (I mean: Sage Payroll and Sage accounacy, Sage 100) Because it has changed a lot since I was in UK for studies 10 years ago, you know. Also, I'm doing Mechanical Engineering Product Design and Development, 2D/3D in Pro Engineer and CATIA V5.

I'm living here: http://edition.cnn.com/video/?/video/world/2012/07/03/eye-on-ukraine-black-lviv-hidden-gem.cnn
Could you please advise who may I talk to regarding this issue?

Kind regards,

Alex

UK Company Law

Lots of firms use subcontractors, some of whom work from how.  You can look at the opportunities board on here, or try Gumtree, etc

Are you up to date with UK VAT, tax and accounts legislation?

Dear Occa,

Kindly  thank you for getting back.

I wouldn't be honest if I say "Yes, I'm familiar enough with the things mentioned by you, to deal with them straight away!" Because it's gone 10 years since my studies in London, and these are the  skills that are very country specific. But it won't take much time for me to get into Sage software.  I'm more pure financier and management accountant than bookkeeper/accountant. I do specialize on planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, strategic management, credit risk, internal control and compliance, treasury operations, wich requires same skills, experience all over the world.

How do you think, do I have any chances to get such kind of telecommute work?

I don't mean same hign-level job, but entry level one.

Best of regards,

Alex

P.S.: thanx, sure, I'll have a look at www.gumtree.com . And I've been looking at opportunities here on our web-site, but they are basically for UK qualified accountants, often with ACCA qualification, which I don't hold.

If I'm honest

I think you will struggle

In my experience, if companies are going to outsource, they will use a UK subcontractor or a large company in somewhere like India

With your knowledge not being up to date and your location, I think you will really find it difficult.

Can you not find similar work in the Ukraine?

I see, thanks for an update.

Sure, I can find it here, byt I'd like to try new environment and new experience.

I see - I'll find it difficult if I'll keep looking for position in accountancy.

But if I'll try to get into finance where I have good experience and track record, where up-to-date knowledge of UK-accountancy isn't required?

Are there any chances then? Will they increase in this case? Or the same road I'm going to follow?

Alex
