Can any one recommended an HR service that they use or subscribe to that they refer clients to, to help with such things as employment contracts, employment disputes and advice on employment law? and how they rate the service and how much it costs?

It depends on the complexity of the problems. As a start point, ACAS is pretty good - and free.
I know a good guy who is local to me, great service and really well priced compared with Pennisula and the like.
Gives great (owner focussed)
business advice
PM me if you want his details
We have an intermediary that we refer to for HR problems too.
Lovely lady and part of a larger network in case you want someone closer to home.
PM me if you want details.
I agree that ACAS is still very good. However I would suggest you Google HR advice or something like that and have a chat to the various people concerned.
Because I subscribe to Croner's tax advice service I get HR advice thrown in. But you might not want to pay for such a comprehensive service.
Despite all of this, I have the contact details of an excellent employment lawyer who has dug out several of my clients from holes of their own making, and when the going gets tough I wouldn't choose anyone else but him. PM me for his details if the situation is going pearshaped!
