H left W and 4 children to go off with younger model.
H & said model no longer an item.
H transferred his half share of the house (value of whole £1m) to his wife because he felt bad about the whole thing.
H is left with very little, W owns house.
W has said that on her death house will go to 4 children. (fair enough)
H Is in rented property and starting from scratch again.
Problem: should W die first W will not have H's NRB to use (potentially this will be wasted).
Possible solution could be W leaves H a liferent in the house on her death with capital passing to children on H's death. Only applies if W dies first.
4 children are grown up. Only 1 of them live in the house and will continue to live there. All said and done - all 6 seem to get on reasonably well considering.
Seem reasonable?
