ICPA?

Is the ICPA still operating? Everything on its website seems out of date.

Didn't find your answer?

Just that really.  I'm a member and realised I've not seen any emails/newsletters from them for a while.  Looked on their website and there doesn't seem to be any new content during 2022.  I wonder if I've missed something?

I was going to join a few months ago but held off for that reason. Seems that since Tony left it has ground to a halt

If you like, you can pay me some money and I'll print a certificate on my printer and knight you with a stick of spaghetti. Same difference, no?

No. ICPA with Tony running it was a great resource for all sorts of discounts, plus up to date content and thoughts. It was more like a trade association than a governing body, so no accountant i know used a certificate from them as proof of how good they are, as most were with other professional bodies too.

I’m sure that someone else asked this same question on here a couple of weeks or so back, but can’t for the life of me locate the post now. Could be my search skills rather than the post having been removed. Worth a look.

The organisation seems to have lost its way, markedly, since Tony M either; retired, or took a back seat, which is a great shame. He had the membership paramount in his thoughts and, regretfully, the ICPA seems a shadow of what it once was. Much of the subscription is absorbed by the PII cover. And, there are, seemingly, plenty of associate benefits.

The tax etc books to me was the main other one, basically the sub cost covered the access to them plus the PII cover.

An active social media feed until the end of 2021, then not a single post all of this year
