ICPA - is it still functioning?

Website is very outdated.

Didn't find your answer?

I was considering joining the ICPA as the benefits of Insurance/tax helpline/Tolleys subscription etc seem worth the fee alone. However the website seems to have been abandoned and the figurehead in the videos (Tony?) seems to have retired.

Anyone able to give some guidance please? I don't want to subscribe without doing my own due diligence as it were. Thanks.

Seems fairly moribund according to all the similar questions posted here in the last 18 months ... https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/search?search_api_views_fulltext=ICPA%20...

They still take £78, from my bank account, as regular as clockwork.

It's unfortunate however that, although Tony handed the oars to a new incumbent, they appear to have fallen over the side.

The organisation appears to be a shadow of what it once was, as far as I can tell.

It would be interesting to know whether there's been any substantial fall off, in the membership.

For small practitioners, I wonder if a mix of; PII, from an alternative provider and a monthly subscription to (say) Nichola Ross-Martin, might be a more efficient arrangement. I'm sure other providers are available.

At the end of the day, ICPA do not provide anti-MLR supervision. I think that's a mistake. Just saying.

It will be interesting to see whether ICPA attends Accountex this year. I miss Tony lots - he knew his stuff.
