Identity match not happening

identity

Didn't find your answer?

A client of mine attempting to use the SEISS scheme is continually told by the HMRC that the personal details he submits dont match those held. In  spite of all details taken from correspondence to client from HMRC  that includes requests to submit tax returns and tax computations as approved by HMRC. Frustrating when client is due a grant in the region of £10.000. Any suggestions ????????????????

Have you tried the helpline? Wouldn’t it be capped at £7,500?

Normally it’s the dob that is incorrectly held on HMRC’s system...

Have a look on your clients and see the information to help you complete a tax return...

I had one of these where it was down to the letter at the end of the NI number. See if you can find any HMRC correspondence with the NI number on it...
My man had an HMRC issued CIS card with the last letter incorrect!

All the info submitted is taken from HMRC records, i.e SA1oo request to submit return and the confirmation of tax computation, and VAT id.
