Hi all
I've noticed there is a client who is on our 'old' HMRC login but when I try and access them on our agent account it says I can't manage the client's VAT details.
If I go to 'copy across more VAT authorisations' it says it is going to import a couple of dozen clients - as far as I am aware this is the only one that isn't already on the agent account, could someone just reassure me it will ignore the ones that are already on there and just import the missing one(s)?
Thanks all

It only copies your authorisations, whether it was to copy over just the missing ones or all of them, it would make no difference.
However, I don't think you need to do the copy more than once, as I understood it, the two accounts ought to be linked after the first "copy" and any authorisations on one account should automatically show up on the other.
There is however no reason not to try, it won't do anything to cause a problem.
Is this missing person signed up for Mtd? I'm not actually sure you can see every non Mtd client on the ASA account.
I've only ever looked for those signed up to Mtd tbh.
You go into the old gateway account and click on the VAT client required then when you try and file a Vat return is send you to the ASA login which you then enter and are asked for the VAT number - confirm the client and then you go to the same looking portal as for the Business Tax Account. It's happened to one client so far.
