What sort of report is required (assuming no audit)?

will tell you.

Incorporated charities require full accruals accounts, no audit unless specified in the governing documents

Believe it or not I have actually looked there, but cant find it. I seem to remember from years ago it was a compilation report - wait, no that was social clubs.

Is it an independent exam - or something else.

the charity commission website just seems to tell you what therequirements for audit are.

Not easy these days to find

In general, unless it states otherwise in the constitution, eg an audit, you need an IE between 25K & £500K income.

Yes

If less that 25K no need to file accounts at the charity commission, I seem to remember however that if you still file them they must have some sort of report attached.
