Interest on loan instalments within creditors

Is interest on loans included in amounts due within and after one year or just repayments of loan

Didn't find your answer?

Where you have a mortgage with even repayments over the term of the loan, what do you disclose in creditors amounts falling due within and after more than one year and after more than five years by instalments? Is it the actual amounts repayable including interest or is it just the pricipal of the loan that is repayable in the various periods.

A.Work out loan balance on say 31.12.17
B.Work out what loan balance will be on say 31.12.18

A-B is repayable within 1 year, you are only splitting the extant liability, the interest for the following year is not an extant liability as at 31.12.17 as it is not within creditors as at that date.
