I watched Apple launch its iPhone 7 on 7 September . This was 3 months after I bought my iPhone 6s Plus. Initially, I was gutted to miss out on the latest model by mere 3 months. After seeing the lack of Apple innovation, I no longer have buyers remorse.
Apple did what has been doing best in recent years, a snail's pace evolution of its iPhone.
Apple with Jobs at the helm was at its best. He was behind the iPhone and Ipad concepts and launch. After Jobs, Apple has not launched any products that are "new" with Apple stamp on it. The Apple Watch is simply following a trend of wearables.
I was expecting a major design change with the iPhone 7. It does not look hugely different to 6. I could put my 6 on ebay and go for 7. There is no need.
Will you go for the 7 or will you go for the innovate Galaxy note 7?

You could upgrade your iphone 6s very easily - just plug some blu-tack into the headphone socket :)
I went off Apple, bought a Samsung and have regretted it ever since.
Never have I had a phone I detest so much as this Galaxy S6
Thats exactly what I thought.
Why would you buy a new Iphone 3 months before next version comes out?
If it is First Tab (I thought the same, but we could both be wrong), it is almost certainly the responses on this thread that made him go anonymous.First Tab, why have you posted anonymously?

Yes, he does love throwing his toys out of the pram.
I will be getting one when my contract renews in the New Year.
I fail to see the need to camp out overnight outside of shops to be the first to own one though after paying over the top for them.
I do like apple products, they have always been good for me. My IPAD is 4 year old now and works as well as the day it was bought, i find them reliable and they just come out of the box and work.
I have a friend who will quite happily describe himself as a tech nerd. Even he thinks that the iPhone 7 price tag is too steep for what it is. My current phone does all I need it to (and a few things that I couldn't care less about either way) so I wouldn't even consider it.
If you do get one, be sure to read this article on locating the "hidden" headphone jack. http://www.snopes.com/iphone-7-headphone-jack/
I'm an Apple fanboy and the upgrade doesn't tick enough boxes for me.
I've come off contract and decided a sim only with my current phone (6 plus) is the way forward. I've gone from paying £58 per month to £9.20.
That said and with the best intentions, I'll most likely succumb to the marketing drivel and upgrade once the reviews are out.
Isn't it only children and fanboys that buy a new phone (or gadget) at every launch? Smartphones are established now so upgrades will only be evolution rather than revolution.
They are largely much of a muchness when compared so if you buy one rather than another it's hardly like you're missing out.
The phone industry is largely marketing and hype over substance so don't be carried away by it.
"By all accounts Samsung's new Galaxy is going like a bomb."
Was this a joke - I see that some Galaxy phone/tab can burst into flames, and have to be turned off when in a palne (rather than aeroplane mode)
I personally like all of the Apple products I've ever bought - I had a Galaxy Tab once and really couldn't get on with it. I bought an iPad and never looked back.
That said, and with 15 months left on my iPhone 6S contract, I would hesitate about replacing it with the newest model because I don't believe they will radically change anything and I would rather go SIM only at that stage and save myself some money - and get off the shocking O2 contract that I'm stuck on with dinosaur paced 3G coverage in my local town centre (including my office).
