IR35 and employee's National Insurance

Do you get a new set of NIC thresholds?

Didn't find your answer?

I'm working on an IR35 job and have hit a bump I'm struggling to overcome.

I can work out the deemed payment and the employer's NIC that applies.  However when I come to work out the employee's NIC I'm in two minds.  Does the deemed payment get a full set of NIC thresholds, or do I need to take into account the amounts already used by the PSC in making the £8,788 salary payment?  I am of the opinion it is the former, as the fee payer is deemed to be an employer, so should logically get its own NIC thresholds.

Would you agree?

Thanks, but that wasn't what I was asking. I'm fine getting to the deemed payment, it's after that I am lacking certainty as to whether a fresh NI threshold is used or whether account needs to be taken of the amounts paid by the PSC.
