IRIS OpenSpace - EMailing issues

A client of mine has integrated OpenSpace into their website and sends all of their e-mails out using their own SMTP server.

About a week or so ago we discovered that customers were not receiving notification e-mails and when they try to reset their passwords, these emails were not going out either.

Everything works if we use the IRIS SMTP service.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem and were you able to resolve it? We have verified all of our settings and everything seems to be okay.
