Irish Auditor needs help with UK audit letters

UK Bank letter for audit purposes

Didn't find your answer?

Hoping someone could give me a steer on this. We're an Irish audit firm carrying out a statutory audit for Irish client that holds a UK bank account. The format of the bank reports are different in the UK to the ROI and I understand I need to get a client authority disclosure (ATD) to submit with the request here. Does anyone know if there is a standard template for the ATD or if not can anyone provide sample wording of one?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
Just a letter on their headed paper, preferably sent with your request signed in accordance with the bank mandate. Care as to where you send it - if your client has a relationship manager then theirs is the best address to use. If they havent it might be worth them checking where to send it as generally the branches dont deal with such things these days and the branch staff frankly have no clue so it could mean a delay in a response.
