Is anyone having issues with Taxfiler migration?

Issues with taxfiler migration to Iris Elements

Didn't find your answer?

Hello

I am having issues with the migration process and have been unable to work since last Wednesday. Support is woeful.

I migrated all my clients over (appears successful) but there is no 'work' area where I can file the returns.

I was told it was because I had not signed up to the paid up version, which I thought odd, as with a trial surely you get a chance to view the product before comitting. I signed up anyway and the 'work' area still did not appear.

The helpdesk gave me things to do, none of which helped. I called again yesterday and was told they would be in touch by the end of the day but heard nothing. The last support email I got, the impression that if the things I was told to do did not work then that was all they could do.

They told me to try logging on from a different computer, clear cookies and cache and press Ctrl F5 which only made my screen brighter.

Am I alone? I can basically see everything but cant do anything. Clients are starting to ask why I havent filed things. Its getting awkward and dont want to worry them but starting to worry a bit myself now.

Help!

There's been many posts about issues with Elements. Best to look for a competent product.

I had issues too. Migration of data was fine but I couldn't do any work or see the accounts/tax returns. All I could see was a "refused to connect" screen.

Try changing browser (I went from chrome to Edge) and logging in. This worked for me.

Thanks. I tried that but it sadly did not work either.

Another day, another post about Iris problems.

Are any of you any closer to figuring it out yet?

Not yet. That's a week now without being able to file. Someone contacted me yesterday via PM on AWeb and said she was getting someone to call me but I did not receive a call.
Pretty awful to be left this way for a week. Its like they don't know what to do so are now ignoring me.
Going to call them again now and refuse to hang up until they put me through to someone that can help.

After a week of being given the run around, I'm amazed that you haven't figured it out yet.
I wasn't referring to the tech issue you have, btw.

Well, I guess you will keep on paying them until you do figure it out. They don't mind the complaining, so long as you are paying.

Did you not say you had only signed up to the trial version?
If so then it states that you will not be able to submit returns, or more to the point it did when I migrated.
Lots of negative reviews on here but I must be honest I have had no problems since moving over but would still prefer to have stayed as Taxfiler!

I'm still on Taxfiler and looking at the various questions on difficulties that keep popping up, I think I'll stay put for another year!

I've got full functionality on Taxfiler (have submitted several 2023/24 Returns) and haven't had any notices asking me to transfer. Taxfiler is being updated with latest changes, so I'll just keep my head down.......
