I used Iris for about 18 years but got fed up with their attitude to their customers and switched to Keytime. Three months after I switched, Iris bought Keytime and are now applying their business model to the company, so it is time for another change. I have looked at TaxCalc, which I like and appears good value, but the very limited choice of layout in accounts production, coupled with the extremely slow resposne to tax return checklist and mailmerge production has led me to look further. I have read through previous posts comparing Iris and Digita where there were a number of very negaitve posts about Digita, particularly on accounts production, but these seem to have ended in June 2017. Have Digita users seen any imrpovment since then, or are there further posts on this thread? Any views will be greatly appreciated.

There have been recent threads about Digita and it is still getting criticised. People seem to be jumping from Digita to BTC or Taxcalc.
I found the Digita Accounts production and tax modules very cumbersome to use, the support wasn't that great either. Gave up on it and went back to Sage Software.
I only use Digita for Tax Return production, and whilst I appreciate it's not quite the question that you asked, I can say that part of it works well, though a bit pricey for our usage.
We moved to Digita last year and whilst the accounts system can be a bit slow I find it fairly good, it is very flexible if not as "idiot proof" as Iris.
The 'advanced' (ha) version of accounts production is terrible. Unfortunately they are too stubborn to admit this and wont go back to the old one.
Agreee with Mr Awol
Advanced Accounts is terrible and Digita are refusing to accept that it’s not fit for purpose.
We’re heading back to Iris
