I see that Samantha Cameron has hired, at public expense, a former model to advise on her image and 'manage her diary'! As she holds no official government post surely this is a BIK as a result of her husband's employment and is Taxable on him?

Austerity, what austerity? Whilst HMRC is downsizing and is unable to tackle tax avoidance and evasion properly the government spends money on this sort of thing? Get rid and employ a couple more tax inspectors who will help close the tax gap.
