A way to access client data on Sage 50 cloud?

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client who has just upgraded to sage 50cloud, great I thought, no more going to their premises to enter year end journals but I can’t seem to find a way to do this.  With other packages such as Quickbooks I use the accountants link method but sage 50c doesn’t seem to have this option. Can anyone help please?  I should say that i do not use Sage at all for any other client so i do not have any subscriptions with Sage.

"Sage" and "upgraded" don't belong in the same sentence.

I believe that is what Sage Drive is designed for. We setup this for our clients.

I did know about Sage Drive but do I need to be to have my own accountants license with Sage i.e. client portal? I have not used Sage for many years as all of my other clients have moved over to QuickBooks, Xero etc. Do you know if it is possible to download the software via my clients sage login (a second copy on the clients license) and then activate Sage Drive on the main computer (office) which I could then access my end?

I understand that the Accountant needs to have SAGE 50 Client Manager to gain access to the clients data. Here is the link to the SAGE online help file

Thanks everyone...

I have just phoned Sage and it will cost me £47 a month for Sage 50 Client Manager. Not an option for me as I only have this one client on Sage.

I guess I will be still going into their offices once a year to post year end journals....

Thats why its called Sage Drive, as its quicker/cheaper to drive to your clients and back up the backup.

Jobs like that I just move over onto cloud software, the only problem is if they have been a long term Sage user they are worried about the change but ultimately the time savings take over.
