Is there SDLT surcharge of 3% ?

If im a shareholder/director of a LTD company that owns an residential property?

Hi  a married couple decide to sell their main residential home to a newly formed limited company which they are both shareholders and directors, then let it out. They then subsequently purchase another property to live in as main residence will they have to pay the additonal surcharge of 3% on their new property?

They are looking to acquire properties in this LTD Co.
