Any ideas when the detailed guidance will be published?
All our employees - including those furloughed - agreed in August to take a 20% pay cut to 80% (not my decision!). Presumably the new scheme will be based on their current contracted wage?
Looks like there's no option to top-up under the new scheme, so employees will have to bear the cost of 1/3 of unworked hours. I fear that if we want to keep wages at current levels, we'll have to give the scheme a miss. Don't think wages of 77% of 80% (i.e. 61.6%) of their pre-Covid salaries would go down too well.
