June Furlough - unable to claim

June Furlough - unable to claim

Didn't find your answer?

All,

Any help is much appreciatd.

When I first submitted a furlough claim I claimed for 2 months at once and assumed I could do that going forward

However I have just logged in to claim Jun - July and seem unable to claim for June?

Thanks

You missed the cut off for June. All claims had to be in by 31 July

Too late
The date was well publicised.
Had an email from Jim Harra 8th July 'Dear customer' that went to most relevant taxpayers warning deadline followed another 29 July

Dear customer,
We’re writing to remind you or your clients about changes to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) from 31 July and what you or your clients need to do if you have claimed too much.
What you or your clients need to do before 31 July
• Submit CJRS claims for periods ending on or before 30 June 2020 by 31 July 2020. This is the last date you can make those claims. You or your clients need to have made a claim at any point on or before 31 July to be able to make a claim for future months.
• Amend previous claims to add any additional employees you or your clients may have missed off in error. After 31 July you will not be able to add any new employees for periods ending on or before 30 June.

There are loads of other changes as well. Do some research or call an accountant

Big changes every month from now on. Don't make the same mistake next month.

Did your accountant not mention them ?

If you don't have an accountant, it's important that you keep up to date with any changes.

As you have discovered.
