Keytime Practise Manager Update

Poor service from Keytime

Didn't find your answer?

Not only did the tax software not update properly for the new tax year but I have been waiting 40 minutes on the 'phone for support...anyone else had poor service from Keytime?  Also no response to my emails....!

Strongly considering moving my SA returns to another software provider..!

My issues are well catalogued, since the 2019 release was first "born".
Keytime's reputation has taken a serious pounding, this year and, I'll have to think long and hard, as regards my future needs.
It's a real shame as, when it was an independent, it punched well above its weight.
The writing was on the wall the day it was announced that the Iris stable had taken it on.
How often have we heard that phrase?

Thank you for your confirmation that I am not being unrealistic in wanting software that works when I have paid upfront for it for the next year!!

I may look at TAXCALC for SA returns - it wasn't as intuitive but cheaper for sure.. I use it for Corp Tax returns already

It's certainly an area I'm taking a look at.

I'm presuming it's one software provider, which hasn't had Iris looking over its shoulder?

I'm on this board looking for ideas to switch away from Keytime ! I have been with them since 2011 for Tax and Payroll and this last update for Practice Manager is a nightmare. I'm not a "whiz" on computers etc., but I'm also not thick, so feel very disappointed with the abysmal support.
If there are realistic alternatives, then I will happily consider them now.
