I have a single LLP client that hasn't traded during the year. I now need to file a set of accounts with Companies House but my software (Sage Accounts Prodcution) doesnt handle LLP accounts. I can use their advanced package but I wont pay full year subscription for one non trading LLP set of accounts.
Does any one know of any software that is available to complete a single LLP return or have an alternative solution?

Gbooks - you can prepare LLP accounts and also file them electronically to Companies House.
Or VT or Taxfiler - both of these will handle LLP accounts for you.
LLPs have been around a few years and I'm sure there are a few software suppliers that support the accounts. But the online filing bit in new.
Can you file the accounts online using VT or Taxfiler?
Taxfiler are working on it.
If anyone else has this problem, I have discovered Companies House has a proforma layout for LLP's on their website. This can be copied and pasted into Word easily and adjusted to suit your client.
Hi,
Would you be able to post a link to the companies house template you refer to please?
Thank You
We manually fillet the full accounts produced by Taxfiler - then overprint the balance sheet using Word to add a note that the members have elected not to file a P&L. This is to prevent CH rejecting the filleted accounts. I believe that CH are wrong to require this note but expediency > pedantry.
