I am processing a SA Tax return for a client who has "lost" his P45. He only gave me one payslip (unfortunately not the last one he received) and said he was paid the same amount every month until he quit. A quick calculation however doesn't return the same figure as the one retrieved on TaxCalc (not a huge difference).
As the client is reluctant to ask for a copy from his ex-employer, shall I accept that the figure on the software is correct and ignore their disclaimer (Please be aware.
