Could I ask whether accountants are more likely take part in a CPD seminar over the web rather than attend an actual event?
I am thinking that traditional seminars maybe becoming a thing of the past given that they can now be enjoyed from the comfort of an office or even from home.

Webinars have been around for some time now but I've seen no evidence of a reduction in numbers on the courses that I attend. So long as we have people like Tim Good, Giles Mooney and Neil Warren doing the rounds in person, I for one won't tire of traditional face to face seminars.

Traditional lectures for me
I like the discipline of attending an actual course. When I have booked webinars it is too easy to be distracted by day to day work when in the office. I am lucky though as I can attend courses less than five miles drive from my office, with plenty of free parking, and good lecturers to boot.
