Match blacklisted credit card providers

Match blacklisted credit card providers

Didn't find your answer?

one of our clients have been blacklisted by the match system that card terminal providers use

for whatever reason they were using stripe and stripe didnt do checks so striple lost money (rather than them) stripe then put thme on that list

they are now struggling to find any provider who will take them  they went to paypal and after 6 months paypal have now chucked them off despite having 100% issue free hsitroy when being with that company

does anyone know of any other providers who may work around the issue or who may not automatically block.

they dont even have high volume of sales its pretty big standard plumbing stuff that normally sells for under £1500 a pop - they are legit profitible buisnes with card sales making up small % of overall sales

seems crazy they can be blacklisted due to another party not assessing the risks they were taking ?

Not too sure I understand what risks Stripe are meant to be taking? Why did they lose money? They shouldn't be out of pocket.

Does your client owe stripe money for some reason? Refunds they have had to pay out but can't recover from your client for whatever reason?

Edit: Or is there a stripe "credit facility" that I'm not aware of?

i dont know the exact technical detail - all my client said was that for whatever reason they had followed the corerct procedures liad out by stripe - so when it was found out the transactions were fraud related stripe didnt claw back money from our client as would normally be the case. I think they have have cross checked the address as tehy were meant to and for some reason the stripe system didnt flag up that the address didnt match - so the stripe system probably should have rejected the transaction upfornt rather than approved it.

"Does your client owe stripe money for some reason? Refunds they have had to pay out but can't recover from your client for whatever reason?"

I think stripe asked for the money back (presumably on the basis it was fraud) but the client had done everything they needed to ref checks so stripe were asking for money back our client had no obligation to give them back - well thats what our client told us anyway . that was over year ago now and stripe certainly never seem to havbe pushed the issue since then.
