If a sole trader rents a premises to sell bespoke handmade goods and buys equipment such as a microwave for herself to use in the kitchen and also furniture to put in the reception for customers, are those able to be claimed (as plant & machinery?) against the Annual Investment Allowance for tax purposes?

Can a "microwave for herself" be regarded as "wholly and exclusively for the purposes of the trade"?

" buys equipment such as a microwave for herself to use in the kitchen" which kitchen? One on the working premises or at home! Note the word herself.
"furniture to put in the reception for customers", well yes they would be allowed, or did they buy furniture for their own home, then put the old furniture in the business premises and tried claiming the new cost against the business.
Yes it does happen.
Current sole trader client question, " Why are you paying Curry's £xx per month on a standing order? Oh it is for my new computer insurance. OK but you have not had a new computer for 3 years.
