Mobile handset leasing - Tax Relief

I have been advised by the company I lease the phones off that I am able to get tax relief

Didn't find your answer?

Hi all,

I just need some advice with regards to tax relief on Leased Mobile Phone handset. I have been told by the finance company that I am able to have some form of tax relief on the lease that I have with them. They have calculated this at 20% but doesn't this depend on the type of lease I have and would this be referring to captial allowance?

Thanks

"Every little helps"- as long as you do not go for the saver range.

We these days have daughter's staff discount with Asda, "Save Money. Live Better".

Anyway now need to run- we are already at the Chrismas cake baking and Christmas pudding making time of year which I somehow need to find the time to get done.

Asda are still US owned so they only give US tax advice.

I don't use them much - but had cause to recently. Slightly ironic that despite being owned by a US company they are the are one of the few major chains I've found which don't accept American Express

Yes. You can definitely get tax relief on it, subject to one or two small caveats that have been lost in the factuum.

perhaps 19% of the gross? or 19% of (gross / 1.20) maybe? P11D in July and 13.8% NIC? guessing game, i guess...

Is 20% a calculation?

That suggests that the deal is that the leasing company "pays your VAT"... and has then done the calculation wrong!

Aldi and Lidl each do a 12% rate beginning Thursday.

You can get all sorts of relief, if you have a mobile phone.
I guess you should have your enquiry, professionally checked.
