Moneysoft - Forcing EPS

Moneysoft - Forcing EPS

Didn't find your answer?

I have a situation where I need to go back in the 2014/15 file and submit EPS showing CIS withheld on a client.

FPS have already been submitted for these periods so I am unable to resubmit those as outside the filing deadline.

It is possible to force Moneysoft to submit an EPS only on these period or am I stuck with the HMRC BPT for this?

Any comments will be most appreciated.

Eh?

Claiming CIS tax suffered has nothing to do with FPSs.

If you have Moneysoft, why haven't you just opened the 2014/15 data file, entered the amount of 'CIS deductions set-off' in March 2015 and looked at the RTI schedule?  Try it.  You will find it asking you to file an EPS.  You don't have to force it.  Just make sure that the EPS is marked as the final submission of the year (again).

Thanks Euan

It is my misunderstanding of the software.

Rather then submit Month 12 final EPS I was trying to submit separate EPS for each relevant tax month which I had been previously advised by HMRC is required in the BPT.  No doubt that is incorrect also and you can just to a cumulative submission at the end of the period.

Thank you for the advice.  Most appreciated.

EPSs give YTD figures

As far as I am aware, an EPS just gives YTD figures - the current month figure on the Moneysoft EPS report is just for convenience to enable you to check that you have entered the figure correctly.  Perhaps, one of the RTI techies can confirm.

YTD

This had been my understanding and other software I use supports that foundation.

In any case your suggestion worked so thanks for that.

Yes, an EPS is year to date totals.
