Brilliant and highly recommended

We started using it around June this year - easy to learn, easy to use and we've had no need to use support at all.

We tried Moneysoft due to the large number of recommendations on AWeb, and haven't regretted it.

Think about the cost

A licence for an unlimited number of companies with up to 100 employees (or CIS sub-contractors) each costs £120 + VAT a year.  That is £15 for each of your 8 clients.

We moved to Moneysoft on recommendation from Aweb users - it was a great decision!

Next on my list to try and move to Taxfiler - thats a February/March job though!

If Aweb users were right about moneysoft, hoping they are right about taxfiler too!

Blows Sage & Iris away

Delighted with Moneysoft- unless I'm very mistaken it's a whopping excel spreadsheet (or seems like it) and after years of PAYEMaster (which was bought by Iris) I wonder why on earth I didn't move years ago.

Having downsized and farmed out all weekly payroll I've only got a similar number of regular monthlies and it's done in a trice. RTI and all. Go get it!

JCresswell- only agree that it's a bit of a pest setting up the various databases- but take time and you get there. Expensive- nope. Euan has it in one. £120 for a year!  On the basis of "you get what you pay for" I was VERY suspicious.

So come on, spill- what's the problem in your eyes? I do appreciate your views and I will gladly receive them.

Now just concerned one of the big guns buy it out as they did with PAYEMaster....... And wrecked it.

Used it for over 10 years

I have used it for over 10 years and recommend it highly. In that time I have referred a couple of items to their support and the answers were in the software.

I cannot understand JCresswells comments about being difficult to use, it is the easiest that I have ever come across, and I have used quite a few. Download the free trial and see how you get on.

Cheap, cheerful and very effective.  You wouldn't regret the purchase.

The support is fantastic. I've had a few occasions where I have needed to contact them and even though their website says it may take a while to answer your call, my call was answered within a few rings and no press 1 for this, press 2 for this system!

I've done the email support too and they get back to you very quickly. My only issue with the program on a day to day basis is if you need to change a tax code. It's not obvious how to do it and I can't understand why you are given the option to use for the rest of the year or not? Who gets to change a tax code for one week or month?

I've had a problem uploading files to NEST and Moneysoft referred me to NEST and NEST referred me to Moneysoft, but it's nothing you can't work around, especially if you know how to use excel and CSV files.

All in all, it's a good program, way cheaper than the others out there and just as easy, if not easier, to use. I've never looked back in the 5 years I've been using it :o)

Great piece of software

We have been using Moneysoft from nearly 7 to 8 years now and would say it as a best payroll software, a trainee can run it, with no problem/errors. So simple to use.

You can also use its Multi-Processing RTI features (we use this for our contractor clients).Send payroll reports and payslips via e-mail directly from software. Export journals and data for y/e accounts etc..

Its a desktop solution though which is only -ve i would say.Otherwise all great stuff!

thanks

Great software.

I have used it for several years and like it.  The only thing I would say is that although you can lock a period, it is still possible to make certain changes while the period is locked so you need to be careful.

Agree, Moneysoft is great software
I previously used Sage Payroll and moved to Moneysoft when RTI came along.

I found it to be far quicker and easier to use than Sage Payroll ... and MUCH cheaper. Highly recommended.
