Moneysoft Payroll Users, repeated EPS of EA

Has your Moneysoft Payroll automatically generated new EPS of EA for the next pay period?

Didn't find your answer?

Dear Moneysoft Payroll Users

After I filed my clients’ first month RTI, FPS and EPS (Employment Allowance), I noticed that the programme has automatically generated new EPS (Employment Allowance) for the next pay month for the clients that we have claimed EA for them. But, the clients that we didn’t claim EA for them, the programme has only generated EPS for the first pay month, and didn’t generate it for the next pay month.

Do we have to send EPS of EA for each pay period?

Did your Moneysoft programme make the same thing?

It generates the EPS in the first month with either Yes or No ticked.

Moneysoft for some reason likes you to file the EPS even if there is no EA and you have ticked No.

I don't think there is a box to tick to claim in a later month - it is either Yes or No so I think you will need to ask them.

Or have a play around - if you submit the Month 1 EPS with No and then change the box from No to Yes for EA in Month 2 then what happens? Does it generate an EPS with a Yes in that month?

I have been communicating and asking Moneysoft for the past 4 days about this problem. I thank them for their investigations, but finally they said that no idea why my Moneysoft programme does that!!!

Do you have any other EPS items? (e.g. statutory pay recovery etc.)

Then I'm stumped. It's certainly not doing it here.

Money soft pre populates the 5th May RTI filing page with the EPS.

It says elsewhere to wait until 5th may to submit.

It would be useful to have that explanation jumping off the RTI page rather than head scratching, which is my frequent irritation with software designers.

I have submitted the EA claim EPS at same time as the April FPS payroll run.

No problems no rejections.

The EA claim is a one-time exercise.
