most efficient Payroll pension provider combos

most efficient Payroll pension provider combos

Didn't find your answer?

Would be interested on anyones thoughts as to the most efficient payroll/pension provider combo package to make processing of  auto enrolment obligations as streamlined as possible.

At present we are kinda using the ark in that we are with moneysoft and nest as our main combo package.

I was looking today and i noticed that smartpension and brightpay allow Direct API integration and smartpay and paycircle do API and direct direct Papdis (i am guesing API is above Papdis in that regard?)

I quizzed  moneysoft ref direct API integrations and they were their normal non commital self - suggest it and we will run past our developers.

I understand where you're coming from (as our American cousins would put it), but you can't seriously - or at least shouldn't - put the efficiency of a "payroll/pension provider combo package" ahead of choosing the pension scheme most appropriate to a) the typical employee at each client, and b) that client's costs.
I guess responsibility for picking the 'wrong' pension scheme may be the client's (but could be yours depending on your contract with client) ... so tread carefully before you potentially prioritise your processing effort above your responsibilities.

Blunty put - obviously not!!. The efficiency of the products is only one aspect of the overall package. Thee only thing i was interested in here was comparing efficiency as part of the overall solution - as you say the most efficient combo to process on daily basis might be a terrible solution for everyone involved.

Really not sure what further you are trying to achieve with all this talk of appys?

Moneysoft direct upload to NEST is pretty smooth as it is.

Or to put it another way ... what problems is OP experiencing when "using the ark"?
And can these not be addressed via settings or whatever within Moneysoft?

Cheers for the confirmation of what moneysoft does. Our wages clerk said that the moneysoft options are limited with direct uploads are somewhat limited - thats not to say it doesnt do the job for most reasonably efficientyly so my initial remarks were probably wide of the mark and somewhat unfair.

I was just kind of hoping though that with API feed ultimately it could be as simple as pressing the equivalent of batch submision here - similar to RTI submisions that one click can do the job for multiple companies safe in the knowledge that that would be it (i am talking about standard ongoing contributions here). Hopefully with any extra bells and whilstles that would help (eg if you can pick day direct debit is collected

You probably need to clarify with your clerk exactly what they mean. Mountains & molehills spring to mind. Really struggling with what more could be done.

Won't do it for multiple companies, but we just make it part of the payroll processing. At the same time as we send the summaries & payslips to the client we click the button to upload to NEST. Takes a few seconds.

Moneysoft already lets you submit contributions and pension payments for NEST. I'm not sure what else you need?

I find the API integrations offered by BrightPay very convenient. Our clients primarily use NEST but from time to time, we will be asked to facilitate Smart Pension or The People's Pension.
