Nat Min wage

is a company secretary entitled to be paid at the NI threshold as a director is or are they subject the minimum wage?

No and no ... or yes and yes ...

They are both office holders (not employees) and in the absence of a contract of employment neither are subject to the NMW. Any other level of remuneration is for the directors to decide in the normal way. Tax deductibility will follow provided that the payments are wholly & exclusively for the trade. £7,488 to perform the tasks of Co. Sec seems quite high and I wonder if there is a non-commercial purpose behind the payments?
