Need help to set up Financial Statements in Line 100

Need help to set up Financial Statements in...

Didn't find your answer?

We are introducing Sage Line 100 and I have been looking at the Financial Statements (P&L, BS and CF) and they do not seem particularly user-friendly to set up. What do other people use to produce the accounts from this package?? All comments/suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Not that difficult
Although at first glance they may seem a bit confusing they are actually quite easy to do once you get used to them. If you are purchasing Line100 from a Sage reseller then they should be able to give you all the help you need to get them set up, and then training on how to amend them if required.

Line 100
I used Line 100 in its previous life as Sovereign. The balance sheet report wasn't too bad, but the format for P&L was awful. I guess that things aren't much better as Line 100! I found the report writer easy to use, just impossible to use to produce a well formatted, meaningful report.

Since I wanted to report against monthly budgets and previous periods, I was unable to get anything close to what I wanted. Eventually, I gave up on the report writer and exported the trial balance to a CSV file and picked it up in Excel.

accounts production
Dear Andrew

I don't think Sage Line 50 is really setup for this kind of thing although it will produce basic financial statements it is really a management accounting package.

We (Eureka Software) do produce a simple accounts production package that will give you all the formats possible limited companies, llps etc. Also within our software is a facility to import Sage trial balances. If you are interested feel free to e~mail me.
