Need to upgrade from Xero - any suggestions

Clients outgrowing Xero, what cloud platforms should they consider instead?

Didn't find your answer?

A company is acquiring another and the combined volumes far exceed Xero's recommended transaction limits. It doesn't need much broader ERP functionality and thus Netsuite etc woud be overkill (on both cost and complexity grounds). The ability to easily report by business unit is also required.

A different company wants to set up an EU branch under a German company so will neeed something that can a) deal with multiple companies with different base currencies and b) handle EU VAT properly including ECSL and Intrastat. This group also needs inventory management and cost allocation.

Any suggestions for cloud vendors to look at?

I know that accountsIQ market themselves as medium-scale cloud accounts software without going full ERP.

Kind of like an in-between product for bigger than Xero, QBO etc but smaller than Netsuite, SAP etc.

Not actually used but perhaps worth a look.

Haven't used it, but AccountsIQ is positioned directly into this space

We've got UK clients with both branches and SARLs in France on both QB and Xero. QBO has some issues with currency so you need to be careful with feeds/rules to auto allocate but otherwise they are both fairly robust.

Look at Twinfield from Wolters Kluwer, I had a situation with a client wanting to move away from sage but too big from Xero, in the end the client upgraded their server so have stayed on sage but this was my preference.

If you've outgrown Xero, you will also find the same issues with the other book keeping solutions mentioned

I agree that Netsuite could well be overkill, so take a look at www.aqilla.com

Aqilla is an ERP solution designed for the cloud and would meet all the requirements (and many more) that you have listed, it's on a monthly license fee (just like Xero) so affordable and with service and support (based in the UK) you will have everything you need
