Hi all
I'm considering sitting and passing the CTA or IIT, but the main barrier is that this will take my annual fees up another few hundred pounds (I'm already ACCA ATT). I'm loathe to drop my ACCA even though I don't do much in the way of accounts these days, what are my chances of getting the ACCA/ATT/IIT to give me a discount in light of my other qualifications?
I'm guessing 'slim'...

CTA/ATT
I seem to recall from when I was looking at studying CTA that you transfer your ATT membership to CIOT and get some sort of discount from both subs. Sorry can't remember how much.
The only ways of getting a reduced subscription from ACCA are as follows;
http://www.accaglobal.com/en/member/members-admin/subscriptions/subscriptions-reduced.html
As for IIT isn't there some sort reduced student subscription at first until you qualify.
The CIOT and IIT will offer you a combined subscription soon...
... since the members of the two organisations have voted in favour of their merger.
If you become a CIOT member (current year sub £295), your ATT subscription will reduce (to £83 current year). Not to mention that both CIOT and ATT allow you to pay by direct debit over the course of the year (without charging interest).
No chance of reducing your ACCA subscription though, I wouldn't have thought, unless you went unemployed.
