So is anyone else making new tax year resolutions today?
What would you pick if you were?
Unsure if it's a "resolution", but we're rebuilding from scratch how we request/gather information from clients for ours, using Senta.
Have used a custom built system for the last few years...but custom built doesn't necessarily mean better, normally just more expensive and perhaps less reliable than off the shelf!
New resolution is start to be more choosey with the type of clients I take on. I'm busy enough now without needing to take on every carrier bag man with a van as his office.
Your question made me go back to my own 'New year resolution list'.
'New Year' as in 1 Jan 2017 see here:https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/community/blogs/jaadams/what-are-you-doi...
>>> and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with myself. I have done everything I set out to do - bar one... update/review the firms website - well, we cant all be perfect!
We are undertaking a total overhaul procedures and practices which, frankly, belong to the analogue age. Hoping it will keep me busy until the upcoming MTD project demands my attention.
My new tax year resolution is to not answer any more stupid questions on aweb.
And not to quote other posters' stupid comments back to them.
I have put "Stay calm and professional when people are rude because nothing annoys them more".
I have also committed to offering all clients a pre Brexit financial review and getting them all done by 31 March 2019.
