NI contributions Director on basic pay

NI contributions not credited even though Director paid 8060 for 17/18

Didn't find your answer?

Client has checked his NI contributions record on line and found he has not been credited for 17/18 even though he was paid 8060 in the year and all RTI returns were submitted.

Does this sometimes happen? Any suggestions to resolve this apart from writing to the pensions office?

Thanks

Just a thought, wasn't the threshold £8164 in 17/18?

It's way over the threshold for getting NI credits which was £5700odd.

He should've got credits.

I'd query it. Could be they've just not got round to updating their records but RTI should have sped things up considerably over the pre-2013 system.

It should have also sped up the data feed for SATR, but hasn't. The issue is not, I suspect, RTI per se, but rather HMRC's reconciliation, which I assume is a manual process since it is as slow as molasses.
