Non-resident pages using HMRC software

Where are they?

Didn't find your answer?

Client submitted his own 2016 Return using HMRC software. Of course, it's wrong, with some income & expenditure incorrectly recorded, and non-residence pages absent.

Digita will only let me mark a Return as amended if it's noted in the software as submitted in the first place (unless anyone know a way around this).

So I can amend the incorrect figures, but I'm blowed if I can find the non-residence pages to add. Anyone go a clue where they are?

I don't think you can attach non-residence pages using HMRC software. You'd usually have to paper-file.

There should be a way in digita to manually mark as amended (never used it, but all other software I have used has a least a back door way of doing it).

I feared as much.
I'm sure there used to be the option to simply mark a Return as an amendment in Digita, but I'll be blowed if I can find it now.

Probably won't help you but in BTC you just hold the shift button as you click on submit. Can't find any reference in the BTC documentation which is a bit bizarre & only found out by ringing them. Just mentioning it as there might be something similarly undocumented in Digita.

I got in touch with Digita, and it should be the case that as soon as the submission is rejected, the software asks if you wish to submit as amendment.

Unfortunately, I submitted it last Thursday, when HMRC were neither acknowledging nor rejecting Returns, so I never got the pop up.
