non-UK national w/ a work permit - state pension?

Didn't find your answer?

A client has just asked me a question... my gut reaction says 'no', but does anyone actually know?

If a South Korean national is working in the UK on a 3 year work-permit, are they entitled to state pension or any other benefits? Helpfully, gov.uk says "probably not" but does give any further detail.

Thanks

Would they ever pay enough minimum NI years re a pension?

(assuming there is still a minimum number as there used to be-I lost track re how state pension accrual now works once I myself had over the number of required years for the full basic pension)
