One employee resident in Ireland

One employee resident in Southern Ireland but as a company we operate entirely within the UK

Didn't find your answer?

Hi I am currently working for a UK based company but I am resident in Southern Ireland. My company does not have any business in Southern Ireland and this will never change. I am currently paying UK tax and National Insurance and will do a tax assessment at the end of the year for Ireland. If there is any extra tax to pay in Ireland I will then pay this. My company does not (as far as I know) need to set up an Irish payroll for me as they are not operating any business in Ireland but I just want to clarify that myself and my comapany are doing everything right. I have tried speaking to accountants but this seems to be an area that a lot of people unsure about. The most important aspect is that all of my work is UK based but my residency is Ireland (I just work remotely but am on all the UK systems for my job.) Thanks very much.
