Our client has moved to USA for at least five year

We have a client who has moved to the USA for a least the next five years.  As we understand it, he will not have to complete an SA100 for 2017/2018 while he is living and working in the US but he is due to receive one payment in the UK in the period.  Will he have to report this income and on a UK and US return and use the double taxation rules.

Are you proposing to deal with your client's US tax affairs?

No, the Company he is working for is providing accountancy services for him.

What kind of US visa does the client have? Has there been some pre-US immigration planning with the client?

I'm not sure about the VISA but will ask him and no there was no pre-US immigration planning as we were not aware he was moving.
