Overseas subsistence

Overseas subsistence

Didn't find your answer?

Can anyone please remind me of the HMRC approved flat rate allowable per night for an employee who has travelled overseas on business? I seem to think £30 was the figure, although I'm very happy to be corrected.

Morning, evening meals and accomodation are already paid for, but director needs to be farly reimbursed for lunch, drinks, telephone calls, laundry and newspapers.

Thanks,

International flat rate daily allowances

www.hmrc.gov.uk/employers/wwsr-bench.pdf

HMRC publish lists by country and sub-list by city that gives the flat rates as authorised.

there is not a fixed global rate (unless negotiated on an individual basis).

alternatively you can reimburse on an actual receipted/documented records basis.  Hope this helps.
