P11Ds Not Processed by HMRC

Receiving reminders to submit P11Ds - however as they were £0 P11Ds they could not be filed on line and had to be posted. We sent hundreds of them in batches well before the deadline.

Telephoned HMRC, who advise that probably they have not been processed hence the reminders.

The problem is that HMRC will probably start the Penalty process, which will tie up tax staff on work we cannot invoice.

Advice as to how to tackle this would be appreciated,

I used structured eMail to submit "nil" P11D reports - however many of these received eMail replies from HMRC along the line "not required" as no notice to file P11D forms issued for some clients ("why did I bother?").

I don't know what you mean by "Structured E Mail"
Can you explain what you did and where you sent it to?
